Trusting God
With so many distractions, we are way more cut off from the natural being of things than we were in the past. The new generations have to deal with modern chemicals that change their brain and technology addictions that permanently alter them from a young age.
Nobody has time to think anymore with so much instant gratification. So it makes sense that nobody talks about God introspectively, how their life is influenced, and how they can use God to be better people for their personal struggles. When they try and do this, they don't get instant gratification right away; they have to think about it and come from a good place, something many people don't have time to do today.
Nowadays, everyone quickly seeks a therapist for issues before they seek God. God has existed forever and helped people for longer than we know humans existed, for all of their unique struggles. And we don't think we should check that out before talking to a therapist? (a human just like ourselves with their own life concerns and drama).
This isn't even questioned because everyone is cut off from their own decision matrix as their focus is drained into the various forms of screens in front of them. When they face struggles in life, they pop pills because they don't have time to think about anything else. Or, they maybe use BetterHelp, a company that hires fake therapists to treat people who suffer from big sad. It's rare now people dig deep within themselves.
The power of materialism and money is so prominent today, especially since we don't have a society with sound money like we have had in the past (gold and other ancient forms of sound money). People rely on money that doesn't exist (paper), which keeps becoming less valuable to survive. No time to think of God when you're in the hustle culture.
Modernity did not make us more powerful than God; I think it's best a lot of people get humbled and trust God again.
Because of how we're proceeding, trusting humans in this world of modernity is becoming less and less reliable.
