Why Aren't We Helping Afghanistan Anymore?
Everyone remembers when the USA only talked about the Middle East under a negative lens, right? Now they are doing it to Russia. But why not the Middle East anymore? Well, let's use Afghanistan as an example. The USA spoke very poorly of Afghanistan to incentivize an invasion of it.
The USA needs valuable resources in Afghanistan, so they must justify their bad behaviour. To do this, they made many movies about the war in the Middle East. They focused heavily on terrorism headlines in the mainstream news. Al Queda and ISIS were the talks of the town. If people were not led to believe that many people in Afghanistan are the reason for terrorism, there would have been social unrest for invading it. That's why the mainstream news had to cover it as they did. To make the public more docile to an invasion.
But now Afghanistan is run by its factions of the Taliban, which recently banned girls from studying at university. This wasn't spoken about and was drowned over by the war in Ukraine.
We're not helping Afghanistan because the USA now has more to gain from Ukraine.
By supporting Ukraine, the USA will be able to exploit its resources, just like how they "helped" Afghanistan and then exploited their resources. Recently, a speaker for the US government was asked why the US isn't helping Afghanistan anymore, and they answered, "then we wouldn't be able to help Ukraine." But this is false. The Fed can print money from thin air, and they've been sending billions to Ukraine. And Biden just signed a $1.7T medical bill to fund research.
They can spare some help to Afghanistan, but they choose not to.
This is not about human rights but about natural resources and profit.
